Enjoying the Outdoors in Sunset
If you are looking to get outside in Sunset, there are several great options available. The first of these is the Hubbard Golf Course. While a collared shirt is required to enter the course, the amenities make the dress code well worth it. There are practice facilities (including a putting green and a chipping area) where you can improve your game, there is a driving range, a snack bar and an on-course snack shop, rental carts, clubs, and lessons, and, finally, a full pro golf shop. If you are looking to go golfing in Northern Utah, this is the place to go.
Golf isn’t everyone’s game, so Sunset City has provided three wonderful parks for residents to enjoy as well. The first of these might sound familiar. The Rachel Runyan Memorial Park was renamed for a 3-year-old girl who was abducted from the park. Her body was later found, though 36 years later her killer has not. The Amber Alert we know today was originally created as the Rachel Alert after Rachel Runyan. Although the name of the park is tied to a tragic story, the Runyan family hopes that the park name will inspire greater awareness and child safety measures. On a brighter note, the park provides Sunset residents with a very shady green space. There is a playground for kids, soccer fields for leagues and individuals to take advantage of, a nice track for running, and nice benches where you can sit back and enjoy the day. The city also provides two other parks. Central park has a playground, horseshoe pits, a pavilion, and there are frequently car shows held there. John G. White North Park’s stand out feature is its skate park. Skateboarders can take to the bowl and show off their moves while joggers take to the track and players to the courts and fields.
No matter what outdoor activity you like to participate in while in Sunset, you shouldn’t have to worry about your HVAC system while you do it. If your air conditioner is making a funny noise, your heater groans and splutters, or it is just time for a filter replacement, HVAC Utah can take care of it so you can focus on doing the things you love.
