Bountiful is the second oldest city in all of Utah. It was founded way back in 1847 by the Session’s family—an offshoot of the oldest city in Utah: Salt Lake City. Bountiful has grown exponentially since then, becoming one of the largest cities in Utah. In fact, it was the largest city in Davis County until Layton took over that spot. The city has always been largely inhabited by churchgoers of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and that remains true today. About ninety percent of its inhabitants are white with the second largest demographic being Hispanics or Latinos, making up 6.4%.
